4-star Barmouth beachfront guest house with sea views from King Suites

Pet-Friendly Amenities

Barmouth Beach Club provides dog bowls, a dog blanket, a dog towel, and a jar of dog treats in each pet-friendly room. Dogs stay free of charge, which removes the usual pet surcharge found at many other accommodations. The property also offers a garden space with an enclosed patio area for dogs to use safely.

Accessibility and Room Facilities

The guest house has a ground-floor Quadruple Room and a Standard Twin Room designed for wheelchair users, with wet floor bathrooms and wide doorways. A mobility scooter is available for hire on site for guests who need it. Rooms come with a fridge, a microwave, a King-size bed, a sofa, and a dormer window that opens to create a small balcony overlooking Cardigan Bay.

Dining Experience

A full Welsh breakfast is served each morning, cooked fresh to order using local ingredients. The breakfast menu also includes a vegan cooked option, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and a continental selection with cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, and filter coffee. Guests who need to leave early can use breakfast vouchers redeemable at a linked café in Barmouth.

Location and Nearby Attractions

Barmouth Beach Club sits 150 metres from the quiet northern end of Barmouth Beach, a golden sandy stretch where dogs can run free at low tide. Harlech Castle is a 10-minute drive from the property, and Snowdonia National Park and Cadair Idris are within a 20-minute drive. The hotel is accessed via a private level crossing with a traffic-light system, and parking is free on site.

Guest Services and Security

The property offers express check-in and check-out, daily housekeeping upon request, and a staff member who meets guests at the door on arrival. CCTV cameras cover common areas and the exterior, and the building has smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. Guests receive a door key and a room key, and the location is quiet with no passing traffic.

the shower was great , but the water pressure fluctuated a bit.
the room i booked , a king suite sea view , looked a little worn. multiple cables snaked across the floor to connect the tv , which wasn't ideal.

A decent stay near the beach

great location wonderful breakfast quality breakfast limited channel shower drain toilet flush
The location of this place is seriously awesome. It is super close to the beach. I was so happy that the breakfast was wonderful. The chef cooked quality Welsh breakfast.
I noticed limited TV channels because there was no internet. The shower did not drain properly. The toilet flush was not working correctly, so this was a problem.

the location was next to the beach, so that was convenient.
The access was quite unusual. I had to cross a railway line. the room i had was clean, but it seemed very worn down. multiple cables were visible on the floor, probably for the tv (it looked messy).

spacious room coffee facilities awesome breakfast different layout low sofa missing fence
The room was very spacious. A fridge and tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room. Breakfast was fantastic (especially the sausage!).
The layout was totally different to what I booked. The sofa was too low for sitting comfortably. I noticed some excellent maintenance issues (missing fence panels).

adequate stay

great shower usb ports comfortable bed late check-in no kitchen no breakfast
The shower worked great. Lots of pressure. facilities in the room were first rate. i liked all the sockets and usb ports available. the bed was also comfortable, and the sofa was good.
I was disappointed about not being able to book in at 3pm. It was a shame. the room was nice. I just found the late check-in time inconvenient. there was also no kitchen and therefore no breakfast actually in the hotel.
